The inventor of phosphate cement, Dr. Otto Hoffmann , had already devised the target at the end of the 19th century which is still valid today, that high-quality dental products be produced on an industrial scale so that these are available to as many people as possible for professional dental provision. Already in 1909 his striving for quality was awarded the silver medal at the FDI’s V. International Dental Congress in Berlin.

The second generation of this family enterprise consistently developed these demands for high quality standards further. Dietbert Hoffmann, as the company’s Head of Production and Managing Director, was an active member in national and international standardization organizations for the generation and enhancement of material standards from 1967 onwards. Today all activities are pooled in the ISO/TC 106 Dentistry, in which Hoffmann Dental Manufaktur is still heavily involved.

A quality management system, which displays the entire company, was already introduced in 1995 by today’s Managing Director Tobias Hoffmann. Close monitoring of the entire value creation chain is ensured by strict control of raw materials and end products as well as regular in-process controls. However, for Hoffmann Dental Manufaktur the adherence to statutory regulations, especially material standards and the Medical Devices Act, are merely minimal requirements.
The employees’ wealth of experience and the quality awareness of every individual are the motor for the continuous further development of the high standards of quality of this family enterprise.
